| | Stories are a highly adaptable teaching tool and can be used in a variety of ways to teach a variety of skills. This particular lesson focuses on extended listening skills and getting students to actively participate in the storytelling process, allowing them to use their prediction skills in a creative and fun way. It draws on materials from the British Council LearnEnglish Kids site.

| This is a speaking exercise for modal verbs used to express possibility, for intermediate / upper-intermediate classes. There are a variety of forms in both past and present, making it suitable for a class who are revising these structures. In addition, the exercise could be used to introduce the various forms and tenses. In this case the learners would do the exercise without you drawing their attention to the forms themselves, then analyse. This approach can help demystify an area learners often feel apprehensive about. Read more

| If you are teaching school subjects in English, then CLIL Essentials will provide comprehensive training on the methodology and practice of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) you need in your work. The course starts 13 April and registration is now open. The TKT Essentials course provides an introduction to English language teaching methodology for teachers who want to develop expertise in Communicative Language Teaching (CLT). The course starts 20 April and registration is now open. If you want an introduction to teaching English to young learners aged 7 to 11, then Primary Essentials is for you. Using video, audio and community elements, you will learn the essentials to help you succeed in your teaching. The course starts 04 May and registration is now open. |
