Hello from the TeachingEnglish team. This week's newsletter has plenty of contributions from you, the reader.  | In this article, informed by the Lexical Approach, I reflect on grammar instruction in the classroom, including my own teaching, and make suggestions on how it can be 'lexicalised'. I consider the problems with 'traditional' grammar teaching before arguing that what we actually need is more grammar input as well as showing how lexis can provide necessary 'crutches' for the learner.

 | I'm back home after a very stimulating few days in Segovia. I suspect that what we have learned will be very useful in the Hay Festivals worldwide throughout 2011. The feedback we got from teachers and students has been very positive and it would be a shame if the experience was limited only to those teachers and students who managed to get to Segovia over a three days period in September.

| Hi, I'm starting my second year teaching English at a private academy in South Korea. I finished my CELTA about a month ago. I'm now teaching a lot of advanced students. They are all mostly Korean English teachers who want to improve their English. I'm looking for any good advice/info or support/tips and techniques for teaching advanced learners.
