| | Diwali, or Deepavali, is also called the Festival of lights. It is one of the most famous festivals from South Asia, and it is celebrated on October 17th this year. Children can listen to a boy talking about Diwali - his favourite day - and can also make their own firework display. What is your child's favourite day?

We are running the Old Possum's Children's poetry competition again this year, with the Children's Poetry Bookshelf. The competition will close on October 19th, so hurry if your child or students would like to enter. The topic this year will be Heroes and Heroines. Find details of the competition.
