TeachingEnglish - the global home for teachers
03 September 2015

Welcome to the latest newsletter from TeachingEnglish
This week we have a complete new set of classroom management tools for your primary classes.

We also have some useful learning activities based around scrabble letters, and a great lesson plan from our English for business resources to help your learners socialise in English.

The featured professional practice from our new CPD framework this week is 'Understanding learners', and if you are a teacher of Young Learners, check out the recordings of Małgosia Tetiurka's talk and interview at E-merging Forum 5.

Finally, it's not too late to complete our short survey
 about the TeachingEnglish website.

We hope you find these resources useful.

Once you have made your letter sets there are hundreds of things you can do with them. Here are a few ideas to get you started.

Teaching adults

For many people, the idea of walking into a room full of strangers and trying to socialise with them can be terrifying, especially if you have to use a foreign language. This lesson aims to get students thinking about the situation as much as speaking.

Development

This week we feature the professional practice from our new CPD framework 'Understanding learners'. Find a range of resources to help you with this professional practice.

Events

Małgosia Tetiurka's plenary talk at E-merging Forum 5 debunks some of the myths about teaching young learners and offers a fresh look at tools, methods and techniques that teachers of English to Young Learners have at their disposal. There is also a very interesting interview.

Magazine

Read our latest blog post by Lizzie Pinard.
In her post, Lizzie looks at activities that focus on pronunciation and vocabulary and require no preparation.
