LearnEnglish Kids Newsletter
February 2014

Welcome to the latest LearnEnglish Kids newsletter.

The first week of February is National Storytelling Week in the UK. Do you and your child enjoy watching classic stories like Goldilocks and the Three Bears or Jack and the Beanstalk?

You can watch these videos and more on our LearnEnglish Kids: Videos app for Android! The app inlcudes a parents' guide that offers advice on how to help young children learn English.  Download LearnEnglish Kids: Videos on Google Play and the Amazon App Store for your phone and tablet device.

LOVE YOUR PET DAY
Love Your Pet day is on February 20th and on our pets your turn, children can write about how much they love their pets! You can print a worksheet about pets for them to complete too.

We have a great story about lots of pets at the animal shelter, and another story about dogs. Kids will also love our song about animals in the house! All the songs and stories have printable worksheets, and we have many online games too. Younger children will enjoy our pets paint it game and older children can try our fun Identipet game. You can find all our pet activities here!

What's your news?
Have you seen our Kids news section recently? Our news is that we're updating our videos and worksheets!

Children can find out what happens when Megan has a problem with her fruit smoothie. Watch the mini series to see what happens next in Fruit smoothie - part 2 and Fruit smoothie - part 3! There are transcripts, worksheets and answer sheets to download and print with each episode.

Watch this section for more new content coming soon!

February 11th is Safer Internet Day in the UK and around the world. Safer Internet Day (SID) aims to promote the safe and responsible use of online technology and mobile phones for children and young people.

Your children can learn some rules about internet safety with this game, and for parents we have an article about using the internet safely. In the article you will find some useful tips, as well as extra links and a free poster to download to help you keep your child safe online.
