| | Livestreamed seminars from the British Council in February |  | |  | | | | On Wednesday 26 February, the seminars team will be in Bristol with seminars which focus on English for academic purposes. Edward de Chazal will give a practical presentation which will explore the nature of academic listening, roles of the listener and purposes of listening. Emma Greenhalgh will disseminate recent pioneering research from her MA in Applied Linguistics dissertation, into the extent and function of laughter in university seminars and will discuss possible implications for EAP teaching.
