Hello again!

This new edition of the TeachingEnglish newsletter contains an interesting article for any teachers who are just starting to teach primary level students. For many teachers who trained only to teach English to adults this can be a frightening experience.

We have another in our series of lessons that is building up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London in 2012, in this lesson students plan and present a visit to the games. There's also still a chance for your students to enter the video competition on our sister site LearnEnglish Kids.

Finally, if your students are interested in football and also want to learn English you might like to point them towards the British Council's Premier Skills website. The site also has teaching materials that you can take into class if you have any football mad groups.

Best wishes

Conditional chain game

TeachingEnglishTry

This game is good to revise and practise structures in the first conditional. The teacher begins with a sentence, for example "If I go out tonight, I'll go to the cinema." The next person in the circle must use the end of the previous sentence to begin their own sentence. Eg "If I go to the cinema, I'll watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."
