The Climate Connection, episode 6: Global schooling

The focus of episode 6 is on educational institutions and what they can do to promote climate literacy. We hear from Asha Alexander, who is a pioneer in climate literacy, and journey to Croatia to find out about 'The Green Schools Initiative'. Beccy Wigglesworth also talks about International House's environmental sustainability programme, and with Rose Aylett reflects on the role of the ELT industry as a whole in creating a more just world.

Literature with primary and secondary learners

If you missed any of the three webinars in our series on using literature with primary and secondary learners, video recordings are now available. Webinar 1 focused on using picturebook video read-alouds in primary ELT. The second looked at using children's literature as mirrors, windows and sliding glass doors in primary ELT. The latest looks at graphic novels in the secondary English language classroom.

Holidays

Use this lesson, specifically designed for online classes, with primary learners to talk about holidays and holiday activities. Learners meet and practise vocabulary through listening and speaking activities, are introduced to some past simple forms, categorise them and practise them in games. They also speak about a souvenir and a past holiday.
