10 key strategies for teaching in challenging circumstances This webinar on Thursday 15 April with Chris Sowton will share ten practical tips for immediate use by teachers and educational managers who are working in challenging circumstances, wherever in the world they are and however they define 'challenging'. These tips will focus on creating a safe and inclusive environment for language learning, teaching large classes, empowering learners, using textbooks effectively, linking the school to the outside world, and supporting yourself and others. |

Creativity and innovation This lesson for teenage learners at B2 level is designed to mark World Creativity and Innovation Day on 21 April. The lesson begins by looking at what is involved in being creative. The students then do a range of reading activities, and the lesson finishes with a creativity task, followed up by a final discussion. |

| A tour of London In this lesson, teenage and adult students at A2 level will practise vocabulary of famous places in London, listen to a light-hearted recording of a guided tour on an open top bus in London, check their comprehension, and then do a speaking activity based on the listening. |

Mother Earth Day In this lesson, children learn about the United Nations' Mother Earth Day, celebrated on 22 April each year. Students brainstorm ideas about the things our planet gives us and make their own drawings with text or posters to share their ideas. The lesson is suitable for primary students aged 6-8 years at all levels. |

| A five-minute primary game where everyone's a winner The attention span of a primary-age learner is short, so it's always a good idea to have a couple of five-minute activities up your sleeve. This tried-and-tested word activity never fails. It's a perfect way to recycle vocabulary and a great opportunity to reward children's efforts so that every single child is a winner. |
