New poems, Diwali, Universal Children's Day and pronunciation

Hello again! This month we've got exciting news about our new Poems section. We've also included some topical learning materials for special days in November and our suggestion for a fun way of practising pronunciation in English.

Check out our new Poems section! You'll find ten wonderful poems for your kids to listen to about topics such as friendship, imagination, kindness and online safety.

Each poem is downloadable and comes with activities to help children think about the meaning of the poem as well as some of the rhymes in the poem. Try them out and tell us what you think! 


What do your learners know about the Hindu festival of lights? Diwali begins on 7 November this year.  

Watch this video to find out how Diwali is celebrated in the UK. You can also watch our short story, My favourite day - Diwali. Both come with online comprehension games and downloadable activities.

The United Nation's Universal Children's Day is celebrated on 20 November. What are child rights? Check out this video to find out what children need to live a full and healthy life. 

Anti-Bullying Week runs from 12 to 16 November in the UK. Read all about how you can Say no to bullying and watch a video to find out about Abbie's bullying story.

We have lots of funny Tongue twisters 
for kids to practise their English pronunciation. Listen to the tongue twister and then try saying it faster and faster!
