October 2018

Welcome to our October newsletter. This month, help your child develop their English with activities about autumn, Halloween and the International Day of Older Persons. If you're a teacher, find out about some special webinars for World Teachers' Day. We hope it's all useful!

The LearnEnglish Kids team

Do you celebrate Halloween? Have a look at our Halloween activities. There's something for everyone with songs, stories and games, as well as printable activities for at home or in class, including a worksheet, colouring page, flashcards and a skeleton craft.

Happy Halloween!

Are there any important older people in your child's life? The International Day of Older Persons is on 1 October and it's a great opportunity to help children appreciate their grandparents or other older people, and practise their English too.

Help your child create an account so that they can tell us about the older people they know, or print our Elderly people worksheet.

Are you a teacher? World Teachers' Day is on 5 October and, to celebrate, there are five special free webinars for teachers on our sister site, TeachingEnglish.

TeachingEnglish has lots of materials for teaching kids, and other age groups too, as well as resources to help you develop as a teacher. Happy World Teachers' Day!

Is it autumn where you are? Kids love getting creative, so try our Autumn decoration craft or Autumn colouring, or practise reading about the different seasons.

Whatever season it is for you, find all our activities in our Seasons topic.
