LearnEnglish Kids holiday newsletter! July 2017 Welcome to the latest LearnEnglish Kids newsletter. HOLIDAY TIME! Do your children have school holidays soon? In the UK, it's time for kids to enjoy the long school summer holiday.  There are lots of different fun activities about holidays on our site, including stories, writing, colouring and flashcards! Find them all in our Holidays topic.   BEATRIX POTTER What do your children know about Beatrix Potter? Her birthday is on 28 July and kids can find out about the life of this well-loved British author with our British tales video. There are games and worksheets to help children with understanding, and they can tell us about their favourite author by leaving a comment! More of our British tales can be found in our UK topic, and you can also find two bonus videos on our Playtime app! INTERNATIONAL DAY OF FRIENDSHIP Did you know that 30 July is the International Day of Friendship? We've got lots of fun activities about friendship for children. Kids can watch stories, practise their reading and writing, try worksheets, or tell us about their best friend on our special Your turn.  You can find all the activities in our Friends topic!
