British Council
LearnEnglish Kids newsletter
May 2017

Welcome to the latest LearnEnglish Kids newsletter.

NEW COLOURING PAGES!
Do your children like colouring? We've just added nine new colouring pages, including Fruit and vegetables, Pirates, Desert island and Pencil case, as well as more seasons pictures. Kids can print, read and colour the pictures to practise their English. Find them all in our Colouring section!

RAMADAN
What does your child know about Ramadan? Ramadan starts at the end of May and is an important time of year in the Islamic calendar.

Children can watch a story or listen to a song to find out more, and print the worksheets to help them understand. If they are members of LearnEnglish Kids they can also write a comment about it on the site!

MAY SPECIAL DAYS
Will you be celebrating World Migratory Bird Day (10 May) or the International Day of Families (15 May)?

Kids can learn words for birds in our Birds word game, or watch The bird king, a traditional story about a race to become king of the birds. We have lots of fun activities about families in our Families topic too!
