LearnEnglish Kids newsletter --  new content!  February 2017 Welcome to the latest LearnEnglish Kids newsletter. SAFER INTERNET DAY Do your children know how to be safe online? It's Safer Internet Day on 7 February and we have new video zone, writing practice and worksheet activities to help kids learn to use the internet safely. Find them all in our Online safety topic.  Parents can also read our top tip and article about online safety.    BRITISH TALES Have you seen our British tales series, about characters and people from British history?  We have just added some new videos. To celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science on 11 February, children can watch our video about Florence Nightingale. They can also find out about Emmeline Pankhurst and Isaac Newton. You can find all of the British tales stories in our UK topic. NEW FLASHCARDS! Have you ever used flashcards with your children? We have added ten new topics to our Flashcards section, all with colour and make-your-own versions.  Flashcards are a great way for kids to learn, practise and revise words. Read our Play a flashcard game top tip for ideas! LOVE YOUR PET DAY! Did you know that 20 February is Love Your Pet Day? We have lots of fun activities about pets that children can do to help them learn about pets and looking after them, and improve their English too.  Find them all in our Pets topic.    Are you aged 13-17?
