LearnEnglish Kids Newsletter March 2016 Welcome to the latest LearnEnglish Kids newsletter. SPRING Spring starts on 20 March in the UK, and children will love making our Spring hat craft! Watch the video then download the instructions.   Kids will also enjoy our spring games, and can write about the seasons in their country on our Seasons Your turn.   EASTER Many children in the UK will eat Easter eggs this month, and in The great egg hunt story, space spies Sam and Pam search for a golden egg.  To practise Easter words, children can play our Easter games. They can also write about celebrating Easter on our Easter Your turn, which comes with two printable worksheets. THE ENVIRONMENT Why not try some of our environment activities with your child this month for Earth Hour on 19 March and World Water Day on 22 March? Read our Planet Earth story, or listen to the It's up to me and you song about helping to save the planet. Kids will also love our fun games How green are you? and Clean and green, which help children learn what to do at home to look after the environment.  WORLD BOOK DAY AND WORLD POETRY DAY Celebrate reading with World Book Day on 3 March and World Poetry Day on 21 March.  Children can read and watch our stories, or try making their own with our fun Story maker activity.    If your child likes poetry, they can create their own simple poem using our free downloadable worksheet on our Poem - festivals Your turn.
