Welcome to the latest LearnEnglish Kids newsletter.

NEW CRAFT ACTIVITIES

Have you seen the new fun activities we've added to our craft section

We have a Board game template, which children can use to create their own game using their imagination. Then they can play it with their friends to practise their English!

If your kids like to read books, encourage them to complete our Book review. There is a version for younger children and a version for older children.

Finally, when your children next ask their friends (or their toys!) to come to a tea party, they can invite them using our new Tea party invitation!

BONFIRE NIGHT AND DIWALI
5 November is Bonfire Night in Great Britain. It is a traditional British event which remembers a plot to blow up the English parliament in 1605. People celebrate with bonfires and fireworks. It's lots of fun for all the family.

Children can play our Bonfire Night game to help them learn about this celebration, and try a fireworks safety game. Our Bonfire Night Your turn asks children to write about special characters from history in their country. There's a fun printable worksheet too.

11 November is the start of Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights. Children can read our Diwali story to learn more about this celebration.

INTERNATIONAL TONGUE TWISTER DAY
8 November is International Tongue Twister Day. Tongue twisters can be a fun way for kids to improve their pronunciation.

On LearnEnglish Kids, we have lots of tongue twisters for children to listen to. When they are ready, they can try to say them! Why not practise a few together, and decide which one is your favourite?

SPECIAL WEEKS
Road Safety Week is 23-29 November in the UK. Children will enjoy our songs and story to help them learn about road safety. They can also answer questions about staying safe on the road with our fun road safety game.

National Tree Week in the UK starts on 28 November. Children can think about some tree issues with our The ballad of Lisa the lemur song, and then write on our Tree week Your turn. Older kids can also learn about how trees grow in The lucky seed story, while younger kids will love our The leaves on the tree song.
