LearnEnglish Kids Newsletter May 2014 Welcome to the latest LearnEnglish Kids newsletter. IMPROVE LISTENING SKILLS! We have lots of activities on our site to help improve children's listening skills at home or in the classroom.  Our Listen and watch section has songs and stories that kids can listen to, which all have a downloadable worksheet. Younger children can try our Sounds songs designed to help children discover English sounds.  Many of our games also have audio, so children can listen to the words as they play the game and have fun!   SPACE DAY May 2nd is Space Day. Kids will enjoy our song about the solar system and a story about exploring planets. Both the song and story come with free printable worksheets and answer sheets to use in class or at home. Children can also try our quiz and ordering game to see what they know about our solar system. The quiz can be played as a two-player game, so it is ideal for playing with a brother or sister at home, or in teams in class. WALK TO SCHOOL WEEK Walk to School Week is May 19th to May 23rd. Children can learn how to be safe when walking to school with our story and song about road safety. They will enjoy our song about how to cross the road safely too.  Kids can also play our fun road safety game, where they have to answer road safety questions.  Have fun and stay safe walking to school!  HOLIDAY LANGUAGE COURSES Holidays are coming soon for lots of children!
