| | Webinar by Andy Hockley - Wednesday 30th April, 12.00 noon UK time. Peer observation can be a great source of professional development for both observer and teacher. Yet many schools either don't encourage it or have a system which doesn't really work as well as it might. Based on research into peer observation systems that work (and ones that don't) this webinar seeks to present some ideas for helping make your school's peer observation system as successful and useful as possible, thereby developing both the school itself and the teachers in it. | | This lesson is designed to introduce students to Dylan Thomas in the year we celebrate the 100th anniversary of his birth. It gives students some basic biographical information on the writer and provides glimpses into his writing. It aims to give students the opportunity to get acquainted with Thomas' work by paving the way for future lessons on specific pieces of writing. Read more |

| This game can be adapted for matching definitions to words or matching opposites. You need two sets of cards. White cards for the words and another colour (yellow?) for the questions. Put all questions in a bag or hat at the start of the game. Give each student at least three word cards, placed in front of them on their desks. Read more |
