Welcome to the latest edition of the TeachingEnglish newsletter. This week we are please to be able to invite you to a TeachingEnglish webinar. Anthony Gaughan will be sharing his strategies for creating a successful lesson as well as answering all your questions. The webinar will be held on Thursday June 28th, 12.00 UK time. 

 

In our Tools for teachers section we have a new addition: Board games. You can download and print out this series of board games for the classroom to help your students with their spelling and knowledge of phonetics.

 

We have two new lesson plans from our Great series. Heritage is Great explores some British historical attractions through a reading activity and Technology is Great focuses on extending vocabulary and reading skills. The skill of writing is the focus of our article which is all about motivating elementary students to write.

 

Our top story this week features Chris Tribble's newspaper article on the latest British Council publication and lessons learned from around the world about managing change in English Language Teaching.
