Hello again! TeachingEnglish is snowed in this week but we're still pleased to be able to bring you our usual collection of quality teaching resources and classroom materials.

First of all we're very pleased to be able to welcome Carol Read back to the site. Carol is the author of 500 activities for the primary classroom and if you teach children you may be interested in her latest seminar which reveals the 'secret' of working with children. There's also Carol's latest article which looks at helping children develop.

IATEFL is coming up soon and you may be interested in news about the Extensive Reading Foundations awards ceremony. There's also the fifth programme in the Teachingenglish radio series, the latest episode deals with pair work and group work.

Finally the 'Blogathon' has now run its course but there are still lots of interesting posts to catch up with and comment on. You may be interested in letting us know what it is that you find most rewarding about teaching.

Enjoy!

But they are actually supposed to do so after all our (and their) hard work. For me, the most rewarding thing is when students start asking for advice in the professional area but not directly related to the class material.
