Welcome to another TeachingEnglish newsletter. This week we say thank you and goodbye to Rania Jabr and welcome to Fitch O'Connell. Fitch is the brains behind the Brit Lit section of the site and he'll be blogging over the coming weeks. In other news we are pleased to announce the release of the first three LearnEnglish Facebook applications designed to help your learners practice their English. They are available now on the LearnEnglish Facebook page. Also this week we have plenty for you to try in the classroom with a whole new lesson plan 'Rich!' and a new activity 'A theft in the hotel'. As ever we want to hear from you about your teaching experiences, especially about what teaching is like in your country. You can also lend a helping hand to one of our readers who thinks he has been too nice for too long, why not let him know what you think about going from 'nice guy' to 'strict guy'. Best wishes, TeachingEnglish Team | British Council | BBC |

 | This activity is a role play that allows students to take control, decide how the story will develop, and use their imagination. It can be used with a range of levels as students drive the content, but they will have to think on their feet and use the language in real time as they can't prepare for what is going to happen.
