Between April and November 2022, Claire Steele and Sarah Smith from eltonix will be running a series of six webinars looking at different aspects of creativity in the language classroom.  Mother Earth Day In this lesson for primary learners aged 6–8, children learn about the United Nations' Mother Earth Day, celebrated on 22 April each year. Learners brainstorm ideas about the things our planet gives us, practise simple science and nature vocabulary, use the present simple to describe facts and make their own drawings with text or posters to share their ideas. |

Easter is one such festival and is widely celebrated by children across the world, so it is interesting from a cross-cultural point of view to develop at least a few activities related to eggs, bunnies and hot cross buns! |  Teaching pathways: Skills for remote teaching In this practical course, you will develop the skills you need for remote teaching and reflect on how they relate to your learners' learning. You will learn about different approaches to remote teaching and consider what factors make the transition from the physical to online classroom successful. The course begins on Tuesday 12 April and lasts for five weeks, and each module involves approximately three hours of study. |
