LearnEnglish Kids newsletter February 2020 It's February! There are lots of special days this month, and we've selected some materials for you and your learners for Safer Internet Day, Love Your Pet Day, International Mother Language Day and Carnival. The LearnEnglish Kids team SAFER INTERNET DAY Safer Internet Day is on 11 February, and there are two brand-new videos in our Video zone to help kids learn about online safety. We the Digital Citizens and Follow the digital trail help children understand how to use the internet in a safe and responsible way.  Check out the other materials in our Online safety topic, where you'll find a poem, a grammar chant, a worksheet and more. Happy Safer Internet Day!     PETS We love animals! Celebrate Love Your Pet Day with us on 20 February by learning pets vocabulary with our word game and flashcards.  Watch a video about guinea pigs and do a worksheet about looking after pets. The animal shelter is a fun story about a family who want to adopt a pet. Which pet would you choose? YOUR TURN TO WRITE! Do your learners want to practise writing in English? Members of LearnEnglish Kids can post comments across the site for other kids to read.  Our Your turn section is a great place to start. There are over 60 interesting topics to choose from! Celebrate this month's special days by writing about Online safety, Pets, Languages and Carnival. Have fun!
