LearnEnglish Kids back to school newsletter!
September 2016

Welcome to the latest LearnEnglish Kids newsletter.

BACK TO SCHOOL!
Are your children going back to school this month after a long holiday? We have lots of great school activities, including games, songs, stories, worksheets and colouring pages to make going back to school lots of fun for parents, teachers and kids!

ROALD DAHL DAY
Have you ever read a Roald Dahl story? Roald Dahl Day is on 13 September. He was a British author who wrote many stories for children, including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Children can read a review of this book and then practise writing their own book review!

You can also celebrate International Literacy Day on 8 September. Our Speak and spell section helps children discover English sounds and spellings through songs, stories and games.

STORY TIME VIDEOS
Does your child like watching stories? We have four great new videos as part of our Story Time series. Watch The ugly duckling, The magic paintbrush, The lump of gold and The magic fish, then kids can try the online or printable activities and write a comment on the page to tell us what they think!

NEW WORD GAMES
Have you seen our Word games section? We have added lots more new word games and now have more than 100 pages in this section! These games are a great way for children to learn and practise vocabulary on many different topics. What's your child's favourite?
