This week our top story is about Edmodo, the fast-growing social media network site for teachers and learners. We also have 2 new seminars - Beyond CALL and A Short History of ELT and news about the Best of British Language Teaching Conference in Mexico.

Edmodo - social media network for teachers and students reaches 15 million users

     

 

Edmodo, the social network for teachers who want to share with other teachers or with students, has reached the 15 million subscriber mark. There are now 1.3 million teacher members at more than 120,000 schools. Edmodo promotes anytime, anyplace learning and allows teachers to post messages, discuss classroom topics, assign and grade classwork, share content and materials, and network and exchange ideas with their peers.
