| Welcome to the latest edition of the TeachingEnglish newsletter. This week we'd like to introduce you to our new LearnEnglish Teens website. LearnEnglish Teens is for English learners between the ages of 13 and 17. Do you know any teenagers who might be interested? We have a free-to-download publication on language policies and practices in Europe. This collection of essays address the thorny issue of how to deal with languages - national, regional, minority, immigrant and foreign- in Europe. You might also like to read our latest featured blog by Fiona Mauchline. Fiona provides insights into how teenagers think and gives some great ideas for speaking activities to use with this age group. For your classes this week we have lessons aimed at practising different skills. 'Knowledge is Great' develops students' speaking and reading skills, 'The soundtrack game' is a lesson based on listening, and 'Writing: mini things' focuses on editing and accuracy in writing. Bye for now, Sally TeachingEnglish Team | British Council | BBC |
