Welcome to the TeachingEnglish newsletter! This week the TeachingEnglish team are getting ready to go to Glasgow for the upcoming IATEFL conference. If you are going to be in Glasgow for the event you might like to come along to the launch of our brand new sister site LearnEnglish Teens which will be a great new resource if you teach teenage students.

As always there's something for the busy teacher to take into class, this week it's a lesson on the sport of swimming which is the latest lesson in our series preparing for the London 2012 Olympics. We've also got a new video tip which features James Clark who discusses how you can use cinema to help engage young people with citizenship.

There's also plenty to catch up with on the TeachingEnglish blogs including posts looking at Apps to help students learn English and the latest in Penny Trigg's series looking at getting back into teaching.

Enjoy!

There are now over 1,000 members from all over the world!

Back into teaching (6): My growing collection of pictures and texts!

Today I'm not booked for teaching, and I have a dreadful cold, so despite the tempting spring sunshine I'm definitely staying indoors.  It's an opportunity to do some much-needed filing, at least.
