| Welcome to this week's TeachingEnglish newsletter!
This week's edition contains extra materials for you to take into the classroom. There is a speaking activity that looks at the topic of inventions, a sheet of ideas about how to use traditional songs from the LearnEnglish site and a great word game that you can play at the start or end of a lesson.
There's also news of the ELT Online Reading Group which you can join if you are a registered member of TeachingEnglish. As ever there are contributions from our readers, a blog entry from Nik Peachey about learning to use technology in the classroom and also a request for help. Perhaps you'd like to contribute your own ideas about 'What is the best way to teach young learners?'
Best wishes,
Duncan TeachingEnglish Team | British Council | BBC
