March 2010 Welcome to the latest LearnEnglish Kids newsletter.   In this newsletter you can find out about the latest resources on the site including: * some new videos of children talking about their pets  * some ideas for making musical instruments at home * a chance for your child to tell us about music You'll also find out about the latest tips for teachers. Please note that the new site is still a beta version. We are still making improvements and adding new features. We'd love to know what you think about the new site. Email us at: learnenglish.kids@britishcouncil.org Kids talk about pets Watch the latest Kids Talk videos of children in the UK talking about their pets. There are worksheets to accompany the videos for your child to do as they watch. Click here to find the videos on Kids Talk. Pets There are lots of games and activities connected to the topic of pets which you could use along with the new Kids Talk videos about pets. You'll find the activities here  Make a musical instrument Why not have a go at making a musical instrument? You can download instructions to make a guitar, a flute, a drum or a shaker. You will find the activity here. Tell us about music Children who are members can write to us and tell us about the musical instruments they play. We also want to find out what music they like listening to. You find this activity in the Your Turn section here. Your Turn is a great way for your child to practise writing in English so if you want to help them become a member click here. tips for teachers There are many ways to use LearnEnglish Kids with your students. Whether you have a large class, an individual student or a group in a computer room, you will find ideas and advice on how to get the most out of the site. You can find tips on the Teaching English website. more from the british council Would you like to find online materials for adult learners?
