 | Our latest blog of the month award goes to Tekhnologic for a post called Tic-tac-toe - setting discussion goals. The post looks at ways to get students talking by setting discussion goals with tic-tac-toe. You can play the game as a low-prep activity on the whiteboard or prepare a series of different grid squares with Excel. Read more |

| | TIRF Trustees have established the James E. Alatis Prize for Research on Language Policy and Planning in Educational Contexts, as a way of honouring Jim Alatis, one of the founders of TIRF. TIRF are seeking nominations for the outstanding article or chapter on this topic. The prize carries with it a US $500 award. Submissions must have been published in 2014 or 2015. The deadline for nominations is November 16, 2015. Read more
