Welcome to our latest newsletter!

This will be the last newsletter this month as the TeachingEnglish team will be taking a break. We'll be back in the first week of August though with news of new materials to celebrate the upcoming 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, and also the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens!

There's plenty to do while we're away: discussions on motivation and developing your English, a new activity to try out, and a really enjoyable video of David Crystal's recent lecture on the influence of the King James Bible on the English language. Finally, don't forget the exciting new LearnEnglish Kids competition, which could keep your children and students busy during the holidays! There are more details below.

If you're taking a well-earned break now, we wish you a happy one, and look forward to seeing you again in August.

Best wishes,

Rob
